KKickFocus
Methodology

Where the data comes from.

A tool that reads campaigns should be clear about what it reads, what it stores, and what it cannot know. This page is the short version.

Campaign data

We snapshot public Kickstarter campaign pages once a day: pledged amount, backers, goal, deadline, category and the public project details. The curve on a project page is built from those snapshots, not from a model.

Comments and rewards

Comments and reward tiers are read by the extension, in your browser, using your own Kickstarter session. They are not scraped by our servers and not stored as raw text.

AI analysis

Comment and product analysis run only after you allow AI in the extension. Text is de-identified before it leaves the browser. We store the conclusion — themes, gaps, suggestions — not the comment thread itself.

Coverage

As of 28 October 2026 we track 4,147 campaigns, 3,685 of them live, with 25,382 daily snapshots. History starts in October 2026; campaigns that closed earlier have no curve.

What it cannot tell you

It does not score a campaign, predict whether it will fund, or judge the creator. A curve is a record, not a forecast. A product analysis says what the page does and does not say; the decision stays with you.

Independence

KickFocus is an independent tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by Kickstarter, PBC. Campaign names and public details belong to their creators.

Privacy, in one paragraph.

Comments are processed in your browser. AI features are opt-in and de-identified. We store the analysis conclusion, your account email, your watchlist and your usage so the extension and the website stay in sync. We do not sell data. Account data is stored with Supabase; payments, when billing opens, are handled by Stripe. The full terms are on the terms & privacy page.
