What a report looks like.

The project below is invented, so that no real creator is described by a machine-written verdict.

Aurora Desk Lamp Sample · invented project

Design · US

Comfortably funded and still accelerating, but the page sells a mood rather than a product — the rewards assume the buyer already understands how the lamp mounts.

What we noticed on the page

  • The funding curve is front-loaded: three quarters of the total landed in the first four days, and the daily rate has since flattened to roughly 1% of goal. That shape usually means the launch list did the work, not discovery traffic.
  • The story runs 1,100 words before the first specification appears. Dimensions, materials and power draw are only in an image caption.
  • There are nine reward tiers between $39 and $420. The two cheapest are already sold out, which pushes every new backer to the $89 tier — good for revenue, but it removes the “cheap entry” the page keeps mentioning.
  • The FAQ answers shipping for the US and EU only. Half the comment volume on comparable campaigns comes from backers outside those two regions asking the same question.
  • No manufacturing partner is named and no prototype footage is shown. For a lighting product this is the single biggest trust gap on the page.
